Between the University of Alabama School of Law and the University of Illinois College of Law, Professor Rushin has taught Criminal Law, Privacy Law, Professional Responsibility, and Policing. At Berkeley, he served as a graduate student instructor for various undergraduate legal studies courses through Berkeley's Legal Studies program, including Criminal Law, Juvenile Justice, and Policing & Society. At Berkeley, he received the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award. The Illinois Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning recognized him as a "Teacher Ranked as Excellent" in Fall 2013, Spring 2014, Fall 2014, and Spring 2015.
