Which Felonies Pose a "Serious Risk of Injuries" Under the ACCA Residual Clause?
The Supreme Court has long struggled to develop a coherent approach to determine which felony convictions qualify as violent under the residual clause of the Armed Career Criminal Act. This article uses data from the National Incident-Based Reporting System to identify which crimes are most often connected with injuries and which crimes most commonly co-occur with other inherently dangerous crimes.
